Frequently Asked Questions

General

Do you take reservations?

No reservations are required for dining. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. We cannot host events or reserve tables for large groups during business hours. Large groups can pick up catering orders or schedule a delivery.

I have an issue with my order and I can't get through by phone.

We take pride in fixing mistakes! Our phone lines open at 10 a.m. and may experience delays during peak times. For prompt assistance, email info@barnbirdkitchen.com with your location, date of visit, concerning details, and payment method (last 4 digits of the card used).

How long is your line?

We don't have a way to report this in real-time, so we appreciate your patience as we welcome hot chicken-seeking enthusiasts!

Can I order online, skip the line, and eat my takeout here?

Our To-Go means just that. We want to be fair and thoughtful of guests who have been waiting in line — please, no cutting in line!

What days are you closed?

We are closed on New Year's Day, Easter, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day, with half days (11 a.m.–4 p.m.) on Memorial Day, 4th of July, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Eve. Check our social media for weather-related closings.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes! Email info@barnbirdkitchen.com for details or visit us in person.

I'm interested in franchising Barn Bird Kitchen.

Thank you for your interest. At this time, we are not selling franchises.

Do you have gluten free items?

Kale salad, Yaji Fries, Cole Slaw, and Chicken Suya.

Do you have dairy free items?

Yaji fries and kale salad.

Does your fried chicken breader contain any of the main 8 allergens?

Yes! Our breader contains wheat, milk (whey), and traces of soy and egg.

Do you have vegetarian items?

All sides except the chicken are vegetarian.

Do you have any eggs in your recipes?

Yes.

Do you have any peanuts in your recipes?

Our food is fried in peanut oil. We do not use any other nuts, but we cannot guarantee nuts haven't been used by our ingredient vendors at their packing facilities.

Do you have any shellfish/seafood in your recipes?

No.

Is there garlic or onion in your recipes?

Yes. Sadly, it would be in your best interest not to have any of our chicken if you have this allergy — the risk of cross-contamination is too great.

Do you have any soy in your recipes?

The sides and desserts might have traces of soy in the mayonnaise or butter blend.

Can we select multiple heat levels for the chicken?

Yes! We are happy to offer multiple heat levels.

Do you include paper products?

Yes, standard sets are included. Full sets can be added for $1 per person for à la carte orders. We do not provide ice with deliveries.

How far in advance should I book a special event?

At least two weeks' notice is required — booking sooner is recommended as availability isn't guaranteed.
